Queenscliff 9 McDonald Road

110% Lifestyle with the Bay in your own Backyard

Floorplan View Virtual Tour

The meandering no-through-road that leads to "Burnt Point" sets the tone perfectly for the lifestyle that awaits at the road's end. Nestled amongst 9 acres of native flora on the tip of a private peninsula, the overwhelming serenity and seclusion of this unimaginably beautiful retreat is palpable.

Classically designed in the 1980s to blend with its surroundings, there is an earthy quality to the architecture and a feeling that the setting has been sculpted by nature itself. For some the house will be perfect as it is; a simple, cleverly designed and comfortable cedar-clad home - for others the potential for a more current interpretation of living with nature will be irresistible. The warm brick paved flooring throughout the lower level and lime-washed timber paneled walls and ceilings provide a rustic feel that entices you to linger. Attic bedrooms and dreamy views from the upper level balcony add to the charm. With plenty of space for families to spread out, this is a home that is ideal for permanent living or extended holidays.

The full size tennis court and stunning, billabong-inspired, in-ground swimming pool are features that speak of long, lazy summer days capped off with a picnic dinner on your own private jetty at the end of the boardwalk with absolute direct access to Swan Bay. Canoeing or watching the swans and spoonbills, with picturesque Queenscliff across the water, the deepest sense of solitude is yours to enjoy without the interruption of neighbours or passers-by.

And all this with the very best the Bellarine Peninsula has to offer right on your doorstep and Geelong a mere 20 minutes away. It is literally impossible to fully realise the extraordinary value of this property without experiencing it in person. Completely unique and - all cliches aside - a true once in a lifetime opportunity.

Important Information

Fletchers Area Guide Queenscliff, VIC 3225

Situated on Bellarine Peninsula and the entrance to Port Phillip Bay, Queenscliff's first residents came in the 1850s. The settlement received a fillip 20 years later when a rail service connected the town to Geelong. Today, that rail service only runs 16 km from Drysdale - now as a tourist attraction. The Bellarine Rail Trail is a walking and cycling track that largely follows the railway line. Historical buildings abound in and around Queenscliff's commercial centre.
