Southbank Real Estate and Suburb Information

Located on the south side of the Yarra River opposite Melbourne's central business district, Southbank's land area was historically occupied by industry and warehousing. The suburb is bordered to the north by the Yarra River and to the east by St Kilda Road. Southbank's southern and western borders are bound by Dorcas Street, Kings Way, the West Gate Freeway and Montague Street.

A commercial and residential suburb, real estate has undergone significant change in the last decade through office, hotel and Southbank apartment development. It features many skyscrapers, the tallest of which is the Eureka Tower, featuring the Eureka Skydeck which offers patrons spectacular views over Melbourne.
